Whose Responsibilities for Tragedy Outcome of Othello essays
Whose Responsibilities for Tragedy Outcome of Othello essays At the end of Othello story, some characters were fated to die. There was not only element; a villain of Iago took advantage of everyone toward his goal, but also had other causes to lead the tragic end. In order to discuss responsibilities for tragic outcome of Othello, there could divide into several parts. First of all, most powerful influence of tragic outcome was by the villain of Iago. Hostility of Iago was against Othello because Othello had appointed the great position of lieutenant for Michael Cassio, but not for Iago who considered himself more qualified than Cassio to serve as lieutenant. Iago felt betrayed, so he was able to manipulate others to do things in a way that benefits him and moved him closer toward his goals. He was the main driving force in this play, pushing Othello and everyone else towards their tragic end. On the other hand, if evil of Iago did not take advantage of everyone toward his goal in this story, the tragic end would not occur at least. Next is tragic hero of Othello whose tragic fault was his gullibility in believing Iago and distrusted his wife. Even he was superior and respected by everyone, he had no way of knowing about women and domestic life. Apparently, his jealous blindly tended to take everything that he saw and Iago told he everything at face value without questioning the circumstances. If Othello did not insecure over Desdemona and communicated with her that Iago could not have a chance to control Othello into killing Desdemona. Furthermore, Emilia, the wife of Iago, was unforeseeable her and others death by taking handkerchief for Iago who wooed Emilia hundred times to steal it from Desdemona. Even Emilia didnt know what purpose of Iago was, she still stole handkerchief to please her husband. However, Desdemonas handkerchief itself appeared to exert unusual powers. For example, Othello saw the handkerchief as proof of Desdemo ...

Causes and Effects of Gravity
Causes and Effects of Gravity Ahmed Emad Hassab Elnabi Gravitational Force ââ¬Å"ââ¬â¢You may hate gravity, but gravity doesnââ¬â¢t care.ââ¬â¢ Clayton Christensenâ⬠. This Harvard teacher was directing this quotation to students like me because it is a force that cannot be viewed. Gravity is a field force exerted by an object to attract another object towards its center. In a simplified manner, it is an intangible, non-contact force that cannot be seen, but is existent between all objects. Gravitational force in a mathematical perspective is the mass of an object multiplied by gravitational acceleration. It is one of the fundamental forces of the universe that maintains planets, solar systems and galaxies. In the last couple of centuries, gravity became understood through Galileo, Brahe, Kepler, Newton and Einstein. Before the last 300 years, some only superficially understood gravity and others neglected the concept of having a field. In ancient times, civilizations believed that the skies and systems were held by divine power. Over they years, loads of scientists and philosophers tried to explain such a ââ¬Ëmagicalââ¬â¢ phenomenon. In 1610, Galileo created a modern telescope. He used it to observe different planetsââ¬â¢ behaviors. He focused on Earth and Venus; consequently he realized that they both revolve around the sun in a similar pattern. Therefore, he concluded that thereââ¬â¢s a force that causes this spectacle. In the same time existed Kepler and Brahe. Kepler used Braheââ¬â¢s astronomical data to conclude that planets revolve around the sun in an elliptical motion and that Earth has the same orbits around the sun; thus, he discovered that gravity creates seasons. Then, came the father of physics and creator of laws of motion, Isaac Newton. He was one of the first to explain the theory of mutual interaction, through his law of Universal Gravitation. It states that any and every two bodies in the universe attract each other with a force directly p roportional to their masses and inversely proportion to the square of the distance between them. Thus objects like Newtonââ¬â¢s apple is pulled to the earth and vice versa; the earth and planets are pulled towards the sun and vice versa. Finally, Albert Einstein, who is the most renounced genius, proposed a new theory. He said that gravity is the result of space and time being bent, general theory of relativity. He also theorized that enormous masses alter space and time because they deflect light, thus creating gravity. Skeptics denounced his theory, but time proved this theory right when astronauts went to space and found out that a clock is quicker away from earth. There are many misconceptions about gravity because there are many different explanations to it. First, people think that gravitational force doesnââ¬â¢t exist between humans, but it does exist between every object in the universe. However, the gravitational pull by earth is much stronger than the force exerted b y humans because of its huge mass. Second, some thinks that gravity occurs through a mixture of gases, the air. However, gravity occurs between planets and suns, where there is no air, vacuum. Third some think that gravitational acceleration (a=f/m) in free-fall decreases because of the force of gravity of other objects. However, air pressure causes this occurrence but gravitational acceleration is constant at 9.81 m/s. Fourth, people claim that we are supposed to be pulled to mars or the moon also. On the other hand, they donââ¬â¢t take into consideration the factor of distance and that earth is we are too far from the moon or mars. Fifth, some say that there is no gravitational force between Pluto and Earth. This is not true because gravitational force exists between all the objects in the universe. No matter how minute it can be, it is never zero. Sixth, a person might claim that his mass changes on the moon, but mass is constant; it is weight that changes depending on the gra vitational pull. Seventh, one would think that we must be pulled to the Earthââ¬â¢s core since that is stated in Newtonââ¬â¢s law of universal gravity. However, Newton also said in his third law that the Earthââ¬â¢s floor has an equal and opposing force to the gravitational force. Finally, one could claim that there is no gravitational force exerted on bacteria since they float. This statement is false because its mass is insignificant, gravitational force exerted by Earth on them is very small that it seemingly doesnââ¬â¢t affect them.

What Price Freedom? :: American America History
What Price Freedom? No country allows as much personal freedoms like the United States of America. The Supreme Court has passed laws which allow more freedom of expression than ever before. By hearing this, you may think that everyone is happy in the U.S. Well, a lot are, but to gain these freedoms, there was once a price to pay. Several people have been beaten, verbally assaulted, and killed for others to gain freedom that they deserve. I ask: At what price should freedom come? In December or 1965, in Des Moines, Iowa, a 15 year old girl and her brother wore black armbands to protest the Vietnam War. The Principal then decided that no student should be allowed to do such demonstrations, and after a warning, he suspended anyone wearing the bands. Later that day both wearers of the bands were suspended until January. The 2 students too it to federal court where they said that they had the right to wear the bands under the First Amendment right. They ended up loosing because the armbands would "disturb school discipline". About 4 years later, the decision was changed in favor of the students. Soon after, in the 1970's, more and more court battles about the First Amendment appeared. Without the help of the 2 students getting suspended, the First Amendment may have still been limited. Ever since dated history in the U.S. has begun, slavery had always gone on. Africans were forced to do the work and labor of the Americans. Black females were forced to do work in the kitchen such as cook and clean the house. Black men worked in the farm, picking cotton, and loading wagons with the crops. Slaves were often beaten by their owners and slave traders. Some were killed or mutilated for doing a "wrong" deed such as learning to read. If the slaves tried to escape from their home to the north, they would be beaten and brought back immediately. The blacks coming from Africa had to rights whatsoever. Slavery went on in the United States until the mid 1800's. The Emancipation Proclamation, which was issued in 1863 made slavery illegal in all the states in the U.S. It took the hard work and determination that one day the blacks of America would be free. A severe price of freedom, but one that stands out and may be worth while.

Bullying Essay
Bullying Frightened, Weak, Sad, Unwanted. You end up not wanting to go anywhere, because you are afraid of getting picked on. You get so fed up with everything, you start harming yourself. You begin cutting yourself or even worse? You end up killing yourself. Hi today, Iââ¬â¢m going to talk to you about bullying and what the down sizes of bullying is. Some might wonder, who are the bullyââ¬â¢s and why do people bully others. So as you read this essay, think about those questions. And ask yourself. If youââ¬â¢ve ever been bullied or have you been the bully. How did you feel? Did you feel powerless and think that it wasnââ¬â¢t fare that this was happening to you. Or that you didnââ¬â¢t have anyone to talk to. Well you do and no one should be making you feel like this. Bulling has to stop, it shouldnââ¬â¢t be going to the extent that people feel like theyââ¬â¢re nothing and end up committing suicide. Having said that, this essay will show you the different types of b ullying, the consequences of bullying and how to stop bullying. Many people think that bullying is just kicking and punching a person. Those people are right, what they donââ¬â¢t know is that there are other forms of bullying. To be exact there are six different types of bullying; physical bullying, cyber bullying, verbal bullying, indirect bullying, intimidation, and social alienation. The form of bullying that occurs more is cyber bullying. In Canada, 42% of kids have been bullied while online. One in four has had it happen more than once. 35% of kids have been threatened online. Nearly one in five have had it happen more than once. 1% of kids have received mean or threatening e-mails or other messages. 58% of kids admit someone has said mean or hurtful things to them online. More than four out of ten say it has happened more than once. 58% have not told their parents or an adult about something mean or hurtful that happened to them online. Both boys and girls can be bullies. Bo ys tend to bully physically, while girls generally use more indirect approaches, such as gossiping about classmates or isolating them by excluding them from activities or groups.Boys are usually bullied by other boys, whereas girls are bullied by both girls and boys. Some of the consequences of being bullied are self-harm, depression, low self-esteem, loneliness and etcâ⬠¦ Most people cannot deal with the pressure of being bullied. So they decide to commit suicide, for example ââ¬Å"Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover, hung himself Monday, April 9, 2009 after enduring bullying at school, including daily taunts of being gay. His suicide was at least the fourth suicide of a middle-school aged child linked to bullying in the year of 2009â⬠.Bullying is never acceptable. It should be considered just ââ¬Å"part of growing upâ⬠Research and experience consistently shows involved, their families and peers, and the community around them. Iââ¬â¢ve witnessed someone self-harming thems elves do to being bullied, it looked like they hit rock bottom and all the person could say is that ââ¬Å"there is no point in living now, no one likes me life is not a thing I enjoyâ⬠. I felt like that wasnââ¬â¢t fair to them and that no one should have to go through what they did. But they overcome that and were feeling better. They started hanging out with really friends that cared about them and just ignored what others thought about them because they donââ¬â¢t have to please other, just themselves. How to stop bulling? Whether or not you have been bullied, there are things you can do to stop bullying. The first thing you should do is to tell a teacher or other trusted adult at your school if bullying happens to you or someone at your school. But bullying doesnââ¬â¢t always happen at school, it can happen after school or even at home.So in that situation, tell an adult that will do something about it or even a police officer. This may seem like tattling, but itâ⠬â¢s not. The victim of a bully is someone you can protect. By telling someone at school about bullying, you are protecting the victim the same as if you stood up to a bully yourself. After telling an adult, you should go to a councillor to talk about your problem. If you donââ¬â¢t feel comfortable talking to the councillor. Try talking to a friend or someone you trust, that will listen to you and try to help you. It isnââ¬â¢t good to keep everything to yourself. You have to get everything out that isnââ¬â¢t healthy for you. Or else it will haunt you and make you feel alone. So in my opinion just talk about your problem even if itââ¬â¢s with your cat or dog (which ever). However being a witness of bullying can be just as bad as being the bullying. As long as you witness bullying and donââ¬â¢t try to stop it. That means, that youââ¬â¢re encouraging the bully because he/she is getting the attention they want. So remember that for the next time you witness someone bei ng bullying and donââ¬â¢t do anything to stop it. Who are bullies?Bullies are very often people who have been bullied or abused themselves. Sometimes they are experiencing life situations they cannot cope with, that leave them feeling helpless and out of control. They may have poor social skills, do not fit in, and cannot meet the expectations of their family, school, or bosses. They bully to, be successful, to control someone else, or to get some relief from their own feelings of powerlessness. Bullies bully because they might be picked on by someone else so they pick on you, so that they think that they are strong. They might not have any friends. They may not know how to feel happy, or something is going on with their family, that is bothering them so they decide to take out their frustration on other people. I hope you take this essay and absorb everything Iââ¬â¢ve said. And remember one person might not be able to put a stop to bullying. But we as a group can sure try. If it doesnââ¬â¢t work, then we can try harder. And never give up.
